overtones
SYNOPSIS
Overtones is a psychological one-act in which two society women, Harriet and Margaret, attempt a polite reunion while their uncivilized "feral" inner selves — Hetty and Maggie — speak the truths they cannot. The play exposes the tension between societal performance and private impulse for women, revealing how class, love, and survival shape the selves we choose to show.
